This page contains information regarding Boy Scout Troop 267. Click on a box above or a link at the left to view additional information.

Troop Calendar:    We have colored events to make it easier to see what's important. Pink is for holidays or special events; Green is for Nevada Area Council, Sierra District or Order of the Arrow (OA) events; Red is for Troop Meetings; Blue is for things that occur during Troop Meetings; Indigo is for Troop Outings. Click on the Troop 267 Calendar link on the left to view the calendar.

Meeting Information:    During the summer, meetings usually start at 6:30. During the school year, the meetings usually start at 7:00. The Troop is currently meeting at the Sierra High School.

When Public Schools are closed (holidays, snow days, etc.), there is no meeting.

Special events (Courts of Honor, Recognition Nights, Family BBQ, etc.) usually start at 6:30 since food is often involved! We often have these at locations other than our Troop meeting place.

Meeting times and locations are subject to change. (Check the calendar, it's usually up-to-date.)

As a youth, Rob was involved in scouting for 6 years. The Troop has numerous Assistant Scoutmasters (see the Organizations page for more information).

Size of Troop:    There are currently 23 registered scouts in the Troop. Beginning in January 2005, both parents are required to be an adult volunteer for the Troop. (Single parent families only need a single parent!)

Service Projects:    It's not all "fun and games". The Troop spends numerous hours at service projects that help needy individuals and the local community. Here is a link to a photo page for one of our service projects.

In The Spotlight:

bulletScouting Magazine ran an article about Troop 267 in their January-February 2002 issue. Click on this link for the details.
bulletIn January 2000, Boy's Life had an article about being out in the cold. Guess who was featured? (Correct, Troop 267!) Unfortunately, the Boy's Life website does not keep articles online. (And like a dummy, I didn't make a copy of it for our website.)
