This is a list of all local Merit Badge Counselors (alphabetically). This data was provided by the Sierra District and was published in February 2007 (along with personal notes from past and present Counselors). (Information about these Merit Badges can be found at Merit Badge Dot Com.) Please note that the Sierra District has many, many more Merit Badge Counselors. The Troop keeps a full list of all available Counselors. Scouts should contact the Scoutmaster if they would like to work on a Merit Badge not listed below. Merit Badge Counselors should make sure that they start Scouts with the most current version of a Merit Badge's requirements. (A Scout can finish with the requirements they start with even if the requirements change before they finish the badge.) Scouts interested in working on a Merit Badge should contact their Scoutmaster first, then contact a Counselor.
Blinking means that the MB Counselor's Youth Protection Training has expired (or worse, they haven't taken it yet). Scouts are not allowed to work with a Merit Badge Counselor until the Troop has a current YPT certificate on file. "CF" means Merit Badge usually offered at Camp Fleischmann (summer camp); (Partial) means that it cannot be completed at camp. Eagle Required badges are in Green. Click on link on left for more information. * Eagle Rank allows 1 of these three; other Ranks allow all three. ** Eagle Rank allows 1 of these two; other Ranks allow both. (applied) means an application has been submitted to the NAC for approval; until approval is granted, not a Counselor for that Merit Badge. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
