Derby |
| February | Blue & Gold Banquet - This is the annual "Cub Scout Birthday Party". My favorite part is the Father/Son Cake Bake contest. |
| March | Pinewood Derby - What can a Scout do with a block of pine wood, 4 wheels and some imagination? You guessed it, build a Pinewood Derby car for racing! (Now, we should say that more than a few dads get into the act. Many appear to be Indy 500 "wantabees"...) Here is a good place to look for some Pinewood Derby details. |
| April | |
| May | Bridging Ceremony - In this event second year Webelos move on to becoming Boy Scouts. |
| June | Sailboat Regatta Race - Yes this one is fun for everyone. Cubs make a sailboat (from a kit) and race them in rain gutters filled with water. There is no lack of enthusiasm during these races. |
| July | 4th of July Parade - Every year the Cubs of Pack 734 brush up their uniforms and join this annual Truckee event. Often times they get a ride on one of Squaw Valley's old fire trucks. Summer Camp - The dates for summer camp vary between late June and early August (so check the calendar of events). The Cubs go up to the summit and attend Summer Camp for four days (three nights) of Scouting adventure. |
| August | |
| September | Recruitment Night - At some point after schools starts, the Pack welcomes new boys into the Cub Scout program. (Boys can join at any time during the year, so if you miss the September recruitment night, don't worry about it.) As new Cubs join, they will be added to existing Dens or new Dens will be created. |
| October | Truckee River Days - The Pack rolls up its sleeves and puts on some work gloves and joins the rest of the community in this annual event. Everyone is welcome to help our restore and support our Truckee River watershed. |
| November | |
| December | Holiday Party - The end of the calendar year and time for Santa to be making his way to all the Tiger, Cub and Webelos Scouts in Truckee. |
