Camp Fleischmann

On July 6, 2003, 20 Scouts head toward Chester, CA and Camp Fleischmann. This annual, weekly event offers the Scouts waterfront, rifle/archery, environmental, climbing, handicraft & biking programs (something for everyone). This year, 20 Scouts from Troop 267 earned 94 Merit Badges and 7 Rank Advancements. It was an especially great year because the Troop won the coveted Peter Lassen Award!

First thing in the morning, Lake Fleischmann is a smooth as glass.

One of the Service Projects the Troop complete for the Camp was a new Water Trough Platform at our campsite.

Another Service Projects was to replace an old dock. Looks pretty bad doesn't it?

The replacement dock was built at the waterfront and needed to be towed across the lake. Here we just launched the new dock.

As the new dock get towed into place, anxious Scouts (and Counselor) wait on shore.

The new dock needs to line up between the poles and brought into shore. The job is almost complete.
