Jackson Meadows
Up

On October 4, 2002, the younger members of Troop 267 went to Jackson Meadows Reservoir, East Meadows campground for a weekend camp-out. Our primary interest was to give the Scouts an opportunity to work on their Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class advancement. The photos below were taken on Saturday, October 5th. As you can see, not only did the Scouts work on some basic camping skills, they also had some fun.

Watching over a Sleepy Scout - Some of the guys thought we got up a little too early!

Cooking Breakfast - The Scouts got right to work making a fantastic meal of Breakfast Burritos.

Eating Breakfast - These Breakfast Burritos didn't last very long.

Fire Building Skills - One thing every camper must be familiar with is fire building and fire safety.

Jackson Meadows Reservoir - We took a nice hike around part of the reservoir. You will notice how they have lowered the water level in anticipation of winter.

Silly Group Photo - While sitting on an old stump, we found a more serious moment to capture on film.

Scout on Water Break - One thing every Scout learns is to bring and drink plenty of water during activities.

One Happy Camper - I think the smile on this Scout's face says it all!
